One Easy Way to Support Foster Parents and Children in Foster Care

While fostering children isn’t for everyone, we believe that every child and adolescent deserves an opportunity to thrive. At the East River Foster Parent Network (ERFPN), their mission is to empower and support Eastern South Dakota foster parents in providing a safe and caring environment for children in foster care.


What’s more amazing than that? The East River Foster Parent Network has made it easier than ever for the community to support foster parents and children in foster care too through their Clothing for All program!


When a child goes into foster care, it’s common they don’t bring with them much for belongings. Furthermore, the family taking in the child may not have items on hand that the child may need. The Foster Care Clothing Closet in Sioux Falls allows families to go to the closet and get those some of those items like clothes, baby equipment, highchairs, strollers, jumpers, blankets and bottles.


As the number of children in foster care continues to climb, we believe this trend can be reversed. Here are a few ways you can help:

About East River Foster Parent Network The East River Foster Parent Network is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization empowering and supporting foster parents so they can in turn provide a safe and caring home environment, giving each child and adolescent the opportunity to thrive. All proceeds go directly to foster families and foster children. All funds that are raised stay within the network and are used in South Dakota. The board of directors consists of foster care parents, which holds open meetings to its member bimonthly.
